drupal invalid checksum error

If you are getting an error as below when installing a module with drupal

"Exception: Invalid checksum for file ... calculated, 0 expected in Archive_Tar->_error() (line"

this is beacuse of firewall. Please change drupal temporary directory in settings to a directory inside your home directory.
